Durga idol immersion turned tragic for hundreds of people who gathered on the banks of Mal river in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri. Eight people were washed away after flash floods hit. Videos on social media show people clinging on to each other while others screaming as the water gulped them. 50 people were rescued from the raging waters while NDRF, SDRF, Police and local administration is hunting for others.
