Rahul Gandhi reacts to double-digit GDP growth in Apr-Jun 2021, slams Modi govt

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the PM Modi-led BJP government for its handling of the economy after govt reported an increase in GDP growth. Gandhi cited data from UPA era and drew parallels. The Congress leader cited how despite prices of raw material in the international market were higher in UPA’s regime whereas the retail prices of petrol, diesel , and cooking gas or LPG were lower than current prices. Gandhi claimed that the BJP-led central govt has earned Rs. 23 lakh crore from fuel and has not transferred the benefits to public.
