SC junks Kashmir solution plea; IIT Graduate fined 50,000

The Supreme Court imposed a cost of ₹50,000 on a petitioner for seeking implementation of Manmohan-Musharraf 4-point formula to resolve the Kashmir issue. The two judge bench of Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Hima Kohli said that the petition was a waste of time as courts cannot enter into the domain of policy making. The top court bench also slammed what it termed 'publicity' interest litigation.
