‘Uddhav has forfeited moral authority to govern’: BJP after Deshmukh resigns

Hours after Anil Deshmukh resigned as the home minister of Maharashtra, the BJP has now upped the ante and questioned the Chief Minister’s silence on the issue. Addressing a press conference, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Thackeray had lost the moral authority to govern. Prasad also added that the BJP wants all angles of the case to be investigated as they believed the case is linked to some high level people in the government. Anil Deshmukh had been accused of extortion by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, days after he was transferred. Deshmukh resigned after the Bombay High Court ordered the CBI to conduct a preliminary CBI probe into the allegations against Deshmukh. Watch the full video for all the details.
