President Donald Trump has questioned who is currently running Iran, claiming that the country’s leadership has been severely weakened following U.S. strikes. In remarks at the White House, Trump said several Iranian leaders had been killed and claimed that even Iran’s “second group” of leaders was gone. He also reiterated that the U.S. Navy was ensuring Iran would never obtain a nuclear weapon. Trump’s comments come as Washington continues to defend its military campaign against Tehran, while questions remain over Iran’s political leadership and the future direction of the conflict. The claims reflect Trump’s latest public assessment of the war and its consequences.
