Basavaraj Bommai replaces BSY as Karnataka CM l All you need to know about him

The BJP Legislature has elected Basavaraj Bommai as the new chief minister of Karnataka. He will replace BS Yediyurappa. Bommai was chosen as the next CM at the BJP legislature party meeting. Central observers Dharmendra Pradhan and G Kishan Reddy were also present at the meeting. Former CM BS Yediyurappa was among the first to congratulate Bommai. The 61-year-old leader also hails from Lingayat community just like the outgoing CM.
