Britain's Emma Raducanu wins US Open; Queen Elizabeth lauds 18-yr-old’s victory

Emma Raducanu won the US open completing her historic run through the tournament. Britain’s Raducanu defeated Canada's Leylah Fernandez in the US Open women's singles final 6-4, 6-3. This was the first major final between two teens since Williams & Hingis at the 1999 US Open. The 18-year-old became the first British woman in 44 years to win a Grand Slam title. Raducanu is now the first British woman to win a major title since Virginia Wade in 1977. The legend, Virginia Wade was in attendance to witness Raducanu's achievement.
