The Jat community has particularly shone in the Commonwealth Games. There are 50 Jats in the Indian contingent and they have won 27 medals in the games. If you count the four Jats in the hockey team then actually 31 out of the 50 players have won medals. These players include famous wrestler Sushil Kumar, the woman who won the first Athletic Gold in 52 years Krishna Poonia and Mandeep kaur and Manjeet Kaur who won the Gold in the 4 X 400m relay.
