Daniil Medvedev won his first Grand Slam title after beating Novak Djokovic in the US Open final. The Russian denied the world no. 1 a record-breaking 21st major men's singles title. Daniil Medvedev beat the 34-year-old Serbian in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Medvedev dominated Djokovic to prevent the first calendar-year Grand Slam since 1969. Djokovic now remains tied with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with 20 major titles. Rod Laver remains the last man to sweep a season’s singles trophies at the Slams. Watch the full video for more.
