IRGC Quds Force commander Brigadier General Esmail Qaani announced plans for a new “Resistance security belt” stretching from the Strait of Hormuz to Bab el-Mandeb and from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea. Qaani described the initiative as a unified security framework for the Axis of Resistance and warned that regional chokepoints are under constant watch. His remarks came after a fresh round of Iran-Israel attacks and counterattacks on June 8. Qaani said actions by Yemen’s resistance forces reflected coordinated regional strategy and suggested additional allied groups could join if tensions continue to escalate.
