Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed receiving more sophisticated air defence systems from the United States. After additional HIMARS, the U.S. now sends "NASAMS" to Ukraine's battlefields. The National Advanced Surface-To-Air Missile System (NASAMS), which was long sought by Kyiv and whose shipment was approved by Washington late last month. NASAMS is known to be one of the world's best surface-to-air missile systems. Ukraine has received a U.S. shipment of advanced NASAMS as Russia has scaled up attacks in the eastern region.
