Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Mossad, the country’s intelligence agency, to track down Hamas leaders outside Gaza. Most of the Hamas leadership lives in exile, particularly in Qatar and Lebanon. Qatar, which houses Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, also played a key role in mediating the temporary truce and hostage deal between Israel and Gaza militants.
