About The Video

Jaspal Singh Atwal, the Canadian resident who made headlines in the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's India visit has apologised for his past. While Trudeau was being a hosted a reception in India, Canada had also sent an invitation to Atwal. He was on the blacklist of India till 2016. Atwal along with four other people made a murderous attack on a visiting Punjab politician Malkiat Singh Sidhu in 1986. All this came after the backlash of what transpired in 1984 Sikh riots where the Golden Temple was also attacked. Atwal now believes that it was a mistake and he repents his action. Will this apology help seek better ties between Canada & India?
