The U.S. has reportedly hinted at backing Israel in its potential offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon. A senior Arab official revealed to news outlet 'Middle East Eye' that U.S. official Amos Hochstein told this to Lebanese PM Najib Mikati and Speaker Nabih Berri during a meeting in Beirut on June 18. The revelation came after Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel, warning it to prepare for attacks from the ground, air, and sea if a full-scale war breaks out in Lebanon.
