A suicide bomber killed at least 50 people and left many injured in a mosque during Friday prayers in Afghanistan’s Kunduz. The blast is being seen as the bloodiest assault since US and NATO troops left Afghanistan. Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the blast and said that an unknown number of people have been killed. The mosque that was targeted belongs to Shiite Muslims, which comprise 20% of Afghanistan’s population. The blast appears designed to further destabilise Afghanistan in the wake of the Taliban takeover. Watch the full video for more details.
