Ukraine’s navy is facing fresh security concerns after a sailor was detained for allegedly exposing sensitive military locations through TikTok videos. Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU) claims the footage showed naval unit locations and combat operations, with geotagging potentially revealing precise coordinates to Russian forces. Investigators allege the sailor uploaded more than 10 previously recorded videos while absent without leave. He faces a potential prison sentence of up to eight years if convicted under the reported charges. In a separate case, three more suspects were detained over alleged online disclosures of Ukrainian air defence positions, raising concerns about battlefield security.
