A gunman opened fire at a supermarket in US' Tennessee killing at least one, injuring 12 others. The rampage occurred at a Kroger grocery store in Collierville, a suburban town east of Memphis. According to Collierville Police, the shooter died of a 'self-inflicted gunshot wound’. Police said some victims had 'very serious injuries' & cautioned that the death toll could rise. Multiple forces including S.W.A.T. teams converged on the supermarket to secure the area. Police said they have been going aisle to aisle to help employees, shoppers evacuate the building. Describing the 'horrific' scene, police added that their officers 'found people hiding in freezers’. There were 44 employees & an undetermined number of customers at the store when shooting broke out. Police said the shooting incident was under investigation by the FBI & other agencies. Thursday's violence was the latest in a string of mass shootings that have erupted in US cities. Just this year, mass shootings in the US claimed dozens of lives & left several more wounded.
