Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the proposed India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor project will “only benefit” his country. He also took a jibe at the United States over its participation, saying the Americans jumped on the last train. “I believe that this will only benefit us. I believe that this will only help us develop logistics…Americans jumped on this train at the last moment. But for them, I don't see much point in being in this project. Only, perhaps, from the point of view of business interest,” he said at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
