Niger's ousted President Mohamed Bazoum has warned that he fears the fall of entire central Sahel region to Russia influence via Wagner mercenary group. His warning came in an opinion piece he wrote for The Washington Post. He claimed that he was writing as a hostage and urged the U.S. help to end the coup in the West African country.
