Saudi Arabia has shocked India with its stand on the Jammu and Kashmir issue at a meeting organised by global Muslim body, the OIC, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Saudi Arabia's foreign minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan said that he stands by the Muslims in J&K in maintaining their Islamic identity and preserving their dignity. "The J&K issue constitutes one of the pressing challenges facing the security and stability of the region," he added, warning that leaving the issue unresolved will "contribute to regional instability."
