Watch | New NASA video shows off 4k views of Jupiter
NASA's Outer Planet Atmospheres Legacy program, which aims to observe the outer planets every year using Hubble, has released its first UltraHD views of planet Jupiter. Using the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA has been able to gather details never before seen on the gas giant planet. High-resolution maps and spinning globes (rendered in the 4k Ultra HD format) are the first products to come from the program. The observations are designed to capture a broad range of features, including winds, clouds, storms and atmospheric chemistry. These annual studies will help current and future scientists see how such giant worlds change over time.
