Pak man held for murdering Indian businessman in UAE

Mohammed Ali, who had been living in the UAE for the past 30 years and was running supermarket business in Maysaloon and other areas, was found dead outside his Majestic Supermarket.

A Pakistani man was arrested by the police for murdering an Indian shopkeeper in Sharjah, less than 12 hours after the incident, police said on Tuesday.

The Sharjah police arrested the 42-year-old Pakistani man from an undisclosed location and said he killed Mohammed Ali over a financial dispute, Khaleej Times reported.

52-year-old Ali hailed from Kerala and was found murdered outside his shop with multiple stab wounds on his body on Tuesday.

Ali, who had been living in the UAE for the past 30 years and was running supermarket business in Maysaloon and other areas, was found in a pool of blood outside his Majestic Supermarket.

The police immediately launched a manhunt for the murderer. He was arrested after a thorough search.

Based on the “culprit’s confession,” the case was referred to the public prosecution.
