‘How can I fix this’: Meghan Markle's dad's emotional plea to 'lost' daughter
Meghan Markle: Thomas suffered from a stroke last year and confessed that he was “lucky to be alive.”
Meghan Markle's dad Thomas made an emotional appeal to his daughter, begging to mend their relationship as he and and her siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr. took to Channel 7 News to share "treasured memories, home truths and secret tapes" of the Duchess of Sussex. This comes ahead of King Charles' coronation which is set to take place on May 7.

In the trailer ahead of the interview, Samantha Markle said that Meghan "would still be a waitress" and her brother added, "We're not going to go away."
"This is going to change everything," he said. But Thomas Markle took a different tone to his children, making a "deathbed plea" to "the daughter he lost."
"How can I fix this?" he said. Thomas suffered from a stroke last year and confessed that he was “lucky to be alive.”
“Despite their estrangement, Meghan is concerned. She wants to know if there is any way to contact her father privately, without other family knowing about it or having to get involved,” The Mirror then reported.

Thomas' plea comes as it came to the fore that Meghan Markle would not be joining Prince Harry for King Charles' coronation. Instead she will stay at their home in California with their children Archie and Lillibet. Marking her first public appearance since the announcement, Meghan Markle was seen during a Ted Talk for her close friend Misan Harriman.
"Our next speaker has an unmatched eye for a good photograph. I’ve experienced his talent firsthand as he’s captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family, and I know there are many others who share in this experience," she said.
