Donald and Melania Trump are “closer than ever”, a report claimed as the former US President mounts his presidential campaign amid numerous legal troubles. “Melania is now fully on board with the campaign, after his daughter Ivanka Trump stepped back from the spotlight, and she wants to serve as first lady again,” a source told Page Six.

Donald Trump is “really beaming next to Melania", the report added, saying that “the couple seems . . . more bonded than ever. Friends say that Melania’s stepping up — while Ivanka and Jared [Kushner] have stepped aside — has made [Trump] more confident than ever.”

Earlier this week, Melania Trump told Fox News that if she returned her "focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow and thrive.”
“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration . . . He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength," she added.
On Donald Trump's legal woes, Melania has not commented so far. This week, the former US President was ordered to pay $5 million to columnist E. Jean Carroll after a jury found him guilty of sexual abuse and defamation.
