Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has confirmed that no agreement with the US has been “finalised” yet.

“Other points have been mentioned, like the nuclear issue. I emphasise, we are focused on the end of war at this point and are not discussing the details of the nuclear plan,” he said.

US President Donald Trump's physician says the president is in "excellent health" and is "fully fit" to serve as commander in chief after a medical exam on Tuesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre.

A report from Dr Sean Barbabella, released late Friday, says Trump underwent a CT scan and other heart imaging, along with cancer screenings and other preventative assessments carried out by 22 specialists.

Trump, 79, said after the visit on Tuesday that everything checked out "PERFECTLY."

The president weighed in at 238 pounds (108 kilograms), up 14 pounds (6 kg) from a medical exam in April 2025. His doctors provided guidance on his diet, physical activity, and weight loss, but concluded that his "cognitive and physical performance are excellent."

British Member of Parliament Zarah Sultana has questioned why the UK government has not done more to respond to Israel’s abuse of activists it abducted from a flotilla as they were on their way to deliver aid to Gaza.

Sultana noted that France had “referred reports of sexual violence, beatings and humiliation against Global Sumud Flotilla activists to prosecutors”, after receiving “harrowing testimony from French nationals detained by Israel”.

“Where is the UK government?” Sultana asked in a post on X.

“Nothing but a simp for Israel, a genocidal apartheid state,” she added.

Pakistan, which has projected itself as a mediator to ease tensions in West Asia, does not recognise the State of Israel and has no diplomatic relations with it.

Although Isaq Dar also serves as deputy prime minister, Pakistan’s bid to mediate an end to the Iran conflict has largely been led by army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

At the Washington meeting between Dar and Rubio, a reporter identified as Faisal Ali Shah from ‘The Pakistan Daily’ shouted a question related to Trump’s appeal to Arab and Muslim countries, including Pakistan.

“Will Pakistan recognise Israel?” he shouted. Neither leader responded, and the question went unanswered.

Speaking to reporters later, Dar said, “Pakistan remains steadfast in its position on Palestine and Gaza,” and added that Israel “must move towards the establishment of a Palestinian state” before Islamabad could consider any shift in its policy towards Israel, Dawn reported.

US sources had told AFP that the deal was awaiting Donald Trump's sign-off following weeks of halting negotiations over a conflict that has engulfed the Middle East and shaken the global economy.

Trump attended a two-hour meeting in the White House Situation Room on Friday but did not reach a decision.

"President Trump will only make a deal that is good for America and satisfies his red lines," a White House official told AFP afterwards.

"Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon," the official added.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has said any renewed conflict would spread “far beyond the region,” threatening “crushing blows” and “utter ruin” in places opponents “cannot even imagine.”

US Central Command (CENTCOM), which is responsible for the war on Iran, has said that “US forces remain present and vigilant across the [West Asian] region”.

In a post on X, the command unit, which oversees the US military in several regions, including the Middle East, also shared a photograph of an F-16 fighter jet it said was flying “over the Middle East during a patrol”.

The United States has more than sufficient stockpiles of weapons and is "more than capable" of resuming the war with Iran, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said in Singapore on Saturday.

"Our ability to recommence if necessary is that we are more than capable, our stockpiles are more than suited for that, both there and around the globe, because of how we balance exquisite and more plentiful munitions," Hegseth told Asia's premier defence summit.

The Israeli military has said that it shot down several projectiles fired from Lebanon towards Israel.

One other projectile fell in the Kfar Vardit area in northern Israel, with “no casualties”, according to the military.

US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has said the “era of US subsidising wealthy nations is over”.

Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue security summit in Singapore, Hegseth said that “a Pacific dominated by any hegemony would unravel” the regional balance of power, and he emphasised that the US remains committed to maintaining a free and open Asia Pacific region – an issue that has emerged as the US’s war on Iran has dominated Washington’s focus for months.

Hegseth also warned that “no state, including China, can impose hegemony and hold security of our nation and allies”.

The Israeli military said that air attack sirens have been activated across several locations in northern Israel, Al Jazeera reported.

The United States announced Friday that it is "dismantling a sophisticated Iranian network" used to obtain sensitive military technology.

The network "impersonated and defrauded" dozens of American technology companies out of millions of dollars to "acquire advanced equipment -- including spectrum analyzers and security detection devices -- for Iran's defense sector," State Department Tommy Pigott said in a statement.

The statement did not name the technology companies who were lured into doing business through fake websites that "mimicked real American companies, using intermediaries in Dubai to receive shipments, and then smuggling the technology into Iran in violation of US sanctions."

The network was led by Iran-based Ali Majd Sepehr, the State Department spokesman said.

On Thursday, the State Department announced a $15 million reward for any information "leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its various branches."
