As per press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the objectives for the US' Operation Epic Fury focus on making sure Iran is “no longer a threat to the US and Western allies” and to ensure that Tehran does not get a nuclear weapon.
Meanwhile, Israeli PM Netanyahu has said that his government will be drafting a “special budget” for the Iran war.
In a video message with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Netanyahu stated that Israel will devote a special budget worth tens of billions of shekels to fund the war, adding that the country's economy will remain strong despite the conflict.
Fresh attacks across the Gulf
Early Wednesday, countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iraq reported fresh missile and drone attacks. In UAE, an alert was sounded for an incoming barrage of missiles and in Saudi Arabia, the ministry of defence said it intercepted and destroyed two drones headed for an oilfield.
In Iraq, a drone attack near Baghdad International Airport struck a US embassy camp. Meanwhile, Israel and Hezbollah continue to strike one another, displacing thousands near the Israeli border and southern Lebanon.
Netanyahu calls on Iranians to remove Ayatollah regime
Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu has called on Iranians to remove the Ayatollah regime and “gain freedom.” In a statement issued by the Prime Minister's office, Netanyahu has called on the people of Iran to gain freedom.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to remove the Ayatollah regime and gain your freedom. Together with the United States, we are hitting the Tyrants of Tehran harder than ever," said Netanyahu.
"The Ayatollah is no more, and I know you don't want him replaced with another tyrant. So you must act. We are creating the conditions for you to do so," the Israeli PM added further.
