Prichard Colon death: Terrel Williams' alleged Instagram account flooded with hate comments
Prichard Colon’s death has reignited public anger at Terrel Williams, with an alleged Instagram account flooded by hateful comments from users.
Since the death of Puerto Rican boxer Prichard Colon on August 13, Thursday, social media has been flooded with attacks on Terrel Williams, Colon's opponent in his tragic last fight.
Prichard Colon died after American boxer Terrel Williams landed multiple punches behind his head. Though the fight ended in a disqualification for Prichard Colon, and he walked away from the ring on his own, he never recovered. For the rest of the 11 years of his life, he remained in a vegetative state. Doctors were barely able to save Colon's life after he spent 211 days in a state of coma.
Terrel Williams' life has also changed since. The former boxer took a two-year-break before returning to boxing briefly in 2017 but retired after 2019. Now, he is a boxing trainer, reportedly based out of Los Angeles.

Williams was never sued or charged for the fight. He was investigated by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) but was absolved of any wrongdoing in 2018. But it seems that the public has far from absolved Terrel Williams.

Terrel Williams Alleged Instagram Account Flooded With Hate Comments
Terrel Williams has largely maintained a private life post his boxing retirement. His last documented fight was against Thomas Dulorme on September 21, 2019. He last spoke to the media the same year: an interview with the Washington Post, in which he said that he wanted to speak to Prichard Colon's parents but believed that would never happen.
But Colon's death has once again thrown him in the public eye. Though the former boxer does not have an official, verified social media account, some users found an Instagram account allegedly of Williams and flooded it with hate comments after Colon's death.
Ht.com could not verify the authenticity of the Instagram account or whether it indeed belongs to Terrel Williams. However, the slew of comments after Colon's death at the age of 33 shows that the public anger against Williams has far from subsided. Has Terrel Williams Ever Apologized?
Terrel Williams has never formally apologized for the injuries that Prichard Colon suffered. He has expressed grief and sorrow and said in a 2018 interview with RingTV that the night of October 17, 2015, "changed his life."
"I pray for Prichard every single day. I don't wish nothing but peace and health for that man. It's been hard on me, too," he had said. "I didn't want that to happen to him. I was just trying to win a fight. My life changed that night, and it will never be the same.”
