Most users reporting issues say they’re experiencing problems with the mobile application, as per GV Wire.

The company has also acknowledged the disruption in a post on X, confirming that it was aware of the problem and actively investigating the issue.

“We’re aware of some issues right now with the app and are checking them out!”

What users are saying?

Frustrated users have flooded X with complaints, making it clear the outage is hitting hard. "Fix it quick the silence is causing me harm," wrote one user.

Another pleaded, "It won't let me log in I beg if you fix it." One user called out the company's silence, writing, "Where is the 'we apologize' part?"

A particularly angry premium subscriber wrote: "I am a premium customer for over 5 years. If it's not fixed by tomorrow morning, I swear to God I am cancelling and going to Apple Music."

How to fix Spotify while you wait

However, Spotify already said that they are working on it but you can still try these steps recommended by Spotify. But if its a server end issue then it can't be fixed on user end:

Start by restarting the Spotify app and checking if an update is available. If that does not help, try reinstalling the app entirely, though keep in mind you will need to re-download any saved music and podcasts after doing so.

Other things worth trying include making sure your internet connection is stable, closing any other apps running in the background, updating your device's operating system and clearing the cache on your device.

If the sound is not working, Spotify directs users to its Can't Hear Spotify support page.

You can also check if the issue is device-specific by trying the Spotify web player at play.spotify.com. Spotify also recommends checking its official status account @SpotifyStatus on X for updates on any ongoing issues.
