At least 20 people have been killed and 13 others injured in two major traffic accidents in China, the state media has reported.
A bus-truck collision in central China's Hubei Province on Saturday killed 16 people and injured 12 others. The accident happened on a National Highway in the Dongxihu district of Wuhan, capital of Hubei.
The bus overturned and fell into a pond on the side of the roadbed after it collided head-on with the truck, which was out of control at that moment, traffic police said.
All the injured were sent to local hospitals, Xinhua news agency reported.
In the second accident, four people were killed and another person was injured when a mini-bus with six people aboard overturned off the roadbed at a National Highway in the country's northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The driver of the mini-bus was unhurt.
