The driver and co-driver of the bus as well as four passengers died on the spot and another victim died at the Ipoh Hospital, a police spokesperson said. All the victims had been taken to the Ipoh Hospital.

"The bus carrying 35 people was on its way from Kubang Pasu to Cameron Highlands when the accident occurred," the national news agency Bernama quoted the spokesperson as saying.
