90 killed in landslides, floods in Nepal

At least 90 people have been killed across Nepal in the past two months due to floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains, authorities said.

According to a report presented in the Parliament, 117 houses, four bridges, five suspension bridges and one school have been destroyed in various natural calamities.

At least 90 people have been killed in the recent monsoon-induced natural disasters, the report said.

Presenting the report in Parliament, deputy prime minister and home minister Bam Dev Gautam said the most loss of human lives and property occurred in the landslides in Taplejung and Kaski districts.
