These fans of Cadbury are determined to snub the American version of the chocolate, which is made under license by Hershey Co. of Pennsylvania.

The fact that the choclate is made by Hershey, and is not the “silkier, smoother" one made by British firm, it just won’t work out for hardcore devotees of the British brand.

"If you were to hold a gun to my head, and say, 'Eat this Hershey bar!' I'd say: 'Shoot me,'" the article reports one fan vow.

These choco maniacs go out of the way to flock to stores that carry the UK-imported stuff. For some Americans the British version of the chocolates is "too gooey", while American bars contain more cocoa butter because of ban on vegetable fat in chocolate.
