Brazil mudslide death toll rises to 702
The official death toll from Brazil's mudslide disaster rose on Tuesday to 702 as more bodies were recovered, according to the latest count by Rio de Janeiro's state health service.

The official death toll from Brazil's mudslide disaster rose on Tuesday to 702 as more bodies were recovered, according to the latest count by Rio de Janeiro's state health service.
Some 14,000 people were also left homeless or unable to return to at-risk areas following the catastrophe, which struck the mountainous Serrana region near Rio on Wednesday last week, the service said.
