Pavlos Joseph paid a 750-rand ($100) admission of guilt fine on Wednesday in exchange for the charges being dropped. The British journalist accused of conspiring in the trespass was ordered to reappear in court on July 7 after being released on 3,000-rand ($390) bail.
Simon Wright has surrendered his passport to authorities and is required to report daily to Cape Town police.
Police believe Wright orchestrated the plot to embarrass South Africa's World Cup security operations. His newspaper, the Sunday Mirror, denies it. Joseph confronted David Beckham in the dressing room and called England's performance a "disgrace."
