A deep earthquake measuring 6.9 in magnitude hit islands off the east coast of Japan on Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological agency said.

A deep earthquake measuring 6.9 in magnitude hit islands off the east coast of Japan on Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological agency said, causing buildings to shake in Tokyo.
