Five injured in southern Nepal blast

At least five persons, including four children, were injured in a bomb explosion near a bus station in a southern Nepal town, police said today.

No group has claimed responsibility for the last night's blast in Malangawa, headquarters of Sarlahi district near the Indo-Nepal border.

Three of the injured are from the same family, according to police.

Seven-year-old Babita Shah, her five-year-old sister Sita Kumari and three-year-old brother Rahul were among the injured, the Kantipur daily reported.

The condition of two of the five injured are stated to be serious.
