Foreigner dead in Pakistani blast: doctor

A foreigner was killed in a suspected bomb blast at an office of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in the Pakistani capital on Monday and four people were hurt, a doctor and police said.

"One foreigner is dead and four people are injured, all of them seriously," said Waseem Khawaja, a doctor and spokesman at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, the main government hospital in Islamabad.

Police said the blast was apparently caused by a bomb.
