Among the dead was an undocumented Honduran immigrant who was swept away by the river on the Guatemala border, as well as three Mexicans who died near Chicoasen Dam, the Spanish news agency EFE said.
Authorities on Saturday found in a river three bodies from among the five people who were reported missing almost a week ago at the dam.
The authorities said that some 20,000 people are still incommunicado in the northern region of Chiapas on the Tabasco border.
Meanwhile, flooding in the southern state of Tabasco forced more than a million people to flee their homes.
