Kirandeep Kaur, 25, waited till the family had left for a holiday on March 26 this year, before raiding the drawer full of cash and jewellery on March 28 with a spare key that had been entrusted to her by the employer, the court was told.

She then left for India.

Kirandeep was arrested when she returned to Singapore in August to look for work.

Not all the stolen items were recovered, reported The Straits Times.
