Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his Cabinet on Sunday, “Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.”Netanyahu said recently that no decision had been made on whether to attack or not. There is no way to know however whether hints from Israel’s leadership indicate actual policy positions, or are part of a disinformation campaign meant to pressure Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
Netanyahu and other officials have said tough international sanctions have not succeeded Iran to abandon its uranium programme — a process that has civilian uses but could also be used to build bombs.
Tehran says its nuke program me is peaceful, designed mainly to produce energy.
