Musharraf gets bail in Bhutto case

A Pakistani court granted bail to the former president Pervez Musharraf over the murder of Benazir Bhutto on Monday, an official said.

A Pakistani court granted bail to the former president Pervez Musharraf over the murder of Benazir Bhutto on Monday, an official said.

The retired general still remains under house arrest.“General Musharraf’s bail has been confirmed” by a court in Rawalpindi, court official Mohammad Aslam Joya said.

Judge Habibur Rehman has ordered Musharraf, who ruled Pakistan from 1999 to 2008 after seizing power in a coup, to pay two bonds worth one million rupees each, he added.
