PJ Mir, head of the ARY (Europe), told HT, “He has come here for a few days and will go back home. He is not likely to fly to the US, as speculated.”
He denied that Musharraf needed permission from the Pakistan government. “He is a free man, he can travel anywhere,” Mir said.
Mir said that the visit was so private that hardly any Pakistani knew about it. “He would stay with his old friend Brig. Nizam Ahmed at his house in Richmond, a very upmarket area, not far from London.”
Government sources said that they had no information. Nor anyone on a private visit, with valid travel document, needs to contact either Foreign or Home Office.
