"Now we can take on anybody who tries to bully us," said Nepal, whose coalition government has locked horns with Maoist chief Prachanda over a number of issues including the sacking of Army chief Rookmangud Katwal.

Nepal along with President Ram Baran Yadav and host of leaders were conferred on the honorary black belt title of the Korean martial art at a function here over the weekend.

The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), headquartered in Korea, awarded its second highest ninth dans to President Yadav, while premier Nepal was conferred on eight dans on the occasion.

As per Korean method of ranking, dan degrees show the mastery of a person over the martial art. Tenth dan is the highest ranking, but it has been given to very few people so far.

Apart from them, Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang also received eighth dan title while Minister for Youth and Sports Ganesh Tiwari Nepali got the seventh dan.

The awards were presented to them by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Hong Sungmog.
