Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain acknowledged today that he was accused of sexual harassment in the 1990s but called the accusations "baseless."

Cain, in a Fox News interview, sought to stamp out an emerging controversy that arose during his tenure as head of the National Restaurant Association.

"I have never sexually harassed anyone," Cain said.

"Yes, I was falsely accused while I was at the National Restaurant Association."
