Suicide bomber targets Pak politician

A female suicide bomber on Monday detonated her vest soon after fomer Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad's convoy passed through the Ghaiba Khwar area in Haleemzai. The blast injured three; Ahmad escaped unhurt. Imtiaz Ahmad reports.

The attack in the restive tribal area of Pakistan is being seen as a warning by the Taliban to others to stay clear of their turf.

The party has been a vocal supporter of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan but "crossed the boundaries" when its supporters entered the tribal areas.
