Suspected petrol bomb thrown at Irish Fin Ministry

A small device, suspected to be a petrol bomb, has caused minor damage at Ireland's Department of Finance, the police said on Monday.

A small device, suspected to be a petrol bomb, has caused minor damage at Ireland's Department of Finance, the police said on Monday.

The flammable device was thrown through a window of the ministry at around 2150 GMT on Sunday, causing a small fire, a police spokesman said.

The front of the ministry has been cordoned off while police investigate the incident. There were no further details.
