Three civilians were killed and 31 injured in a suicide car bombing in Abu Ghraib west of Baghdad on Monday, the interior ministry said.

Three civilians were killed and 31 injured in a suicide car bombing in Abu Ghraib west of Baghdad on Monday, the interior ministry said.

The driver blew up the car near a police barricade, a ministry official said.

Pockets of Al-Qaeda fighters are still believed to be operating in the neighbourhood.
