US led coalition troops killed two militants and detained two others during a raid in central Afghanistan, a statement said on Wednesday.

US led coalition troops killed two militants and detained two others during a raid in central Afghanistan, a statement said on Wednesday.
The insurgents were killed and arrested on Tuesday during the operation in Andar district of Ghazni province, the coalition said. Soldiers were after a militant allegedly involved in attacks against Afghan and foreign troops and civilians in the country, it said.
Two militants were killed, including the targeted individual, the coalition said. Two others were detained.
More than 4,200 people mostly militants have died in insurgency-related violence this year, according to an Associated Press tally of figures from Afghan and Western officials.
