US serviceman killed in helicopter crash in Baghdad
One US serviceman was killed and 12 others were injured when a Blackhawk helicopter crashed inside a US base north of Baghdad, the military said in a statement on Sunday.

One US serviceman was killed and 12 others were injured when a Blackhawk helicopter crashed inside a US base north of Baghdad, the military said in a statement on Sunday.
The crash occurred Saturday evening at Joint Base Balad, 70 kilometres (45 miles) north of the Iraqi capital, the statement said. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
US combat forces are set to withdraw from Iraq by August 2010 based on a security accord between Baghdad and Washington that also calls for all American soldiers to leave Iraq by the end of 2011.
