Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap released the first teaser of his next production, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, late on Friday.
Directed by Vasan Bala, the film tells of notorious serial killer Raman Raghav who went on murdering spree in Mumbai in the 1960s. After his arrest, Raghav admitted to killing 23 people in 1966 and a dozen in 1968. Police however believe the number is higher.
In the 46-second-long video, Anurag scares us with shock and, of course, violence. But, compared to the bloody posters of the film, the teaser seems cleaner.
The first trailer of the film is scheduled for a May 10 launch.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the psychopath Raghav while Vicky Kaushal of Masaan-fame plays a cop. National award-winning lyricist, Varun Grover, has penned the songs for this thriller.
Raman Raghav 2.0 will premiere at the 69th Cannes International Film Festival later this month and hit screens on June 24.
